Rewriting a platform for recovery
The previous version focused on fear, alerts, and first-response actions. In the revamp, we introduced a more balanced and hopeful tone. The content highlighted vaccination milestones, safety updates, and community support resources while still providing access to historical data.
How I contributed to the shift
Reorganized content structure based on post-pandemic user needs
Rewrote key pages with a tone that’s clear, empathetic, and forward-looking
Added summaries for policy changes and new health guidelines
Simplified medical terminology for easier public understanding
What changed after the redesign
The site evolved into a trusted reference for COVID-19
Visitors spent more time exploring tools like clinic locators and FAQ updates
The new copy helped reduce confusion around vaccine documentation and travel
What I learned
Good writing adapts with the times. This project showed how content can guide public sentiment from fear to calm, just by changing what we highlight and how we say it. I’m proud to have played a role in supporting Jakarta’s recovery through clear and human content.
